1 Year Later — Jul 2, 2026
The Motley Fool's ten growth stocks, published in July 2024, have returned an average of 42% over the past year. That's more than double the S&P 500's 21% gain over the same period.
Six of the ten picks are beating the market individually. One standout — Rocket Lab (RKLB) — has climbed 193%, driving much of the portfolio's outperformance.
The remaining four picks have lagged the index, but the overall basket remains well ahead. The original article highlighted companies positioned for long-term expansion, and so far the results reflect strong momentum across the majority of those names.
6 Months Later — Dec 29, 2025
The Motley Fool's portfolio of 10 growth stocks published in July 2025 has returned 21.3% over six months, outpacing the S&P 500's 11.4% gain by nearly 10 percentage points. Six of the ten picks are now beating the market.
Rocket Lab (RKLB) is the clear standout, up 104.3% since publication. That single position is driving much of the portfolio's outperformance.
The remaining nine picks show mixed results, with four trailing the index over the same stretch. Still, the overall portfolio maintains a meaningful lead at the halfway mark of its first year.
3 Months Later — Sep 30, 2025
The Motley Fool's ten growth stocks selected in early July have returned 14.2% over three months, outpacing the S&P 500's 7.9% gain by 6.3 percentage points. George Budwell, PhD presented the picks in an article titled "10 Incredible Growth Stocks Poised for Long-Term Gains."
One stock is driving much of that outperformance. JOBY surged 64.5% during the period, while four of the ten picks overall have beaten the market.
The remaining six picks have trailed the S&P 500 over the same span. At the three-month mark, the portfolio as a whole remains ahead of the benchmark by a meaningful margin.
3 Days Later — Jul 4, 2025
The Motley Fool's 10 growth stock picks from early July have gained 2.3% on average in their first three days of tracking, outpacing the S&P 500's 1.2% return over the same window. Eight of the ten picks are beating the index.
BigBear.ai (BBAI) leads the group with a 16.5% gain, driving much of the early outperformance. The remaining picks show more modest moves, with two trailing the market in this initial snapshot.
Three days is a thin data set. Short-term volatility tells us little about the long-term thesis these picks were chosen to represent.
